For candidates
How the candidate database works
Participation is voluntary. Employers cannot freely browse candidates and do not receive a candidate's identity or contact details before the candidate accepts the specific advert.
What do you consent to?
When you enable candidate matching in your account, you consent to CVPilot using your profile information to match you with adverts from participating employers and contact you with requests.
What information is used?
Matching may use location, career goals, experience, education, skills, personal qualities and other information you have added to your candidate profile. CVPilot uses your email and contact details to reach you, but does not share them with the employer at the initial matching stage.
What does the employer see?
Before you accept, the employer uses a service in which CVPilot compares the advert with profiles whose owners have consented. The employer does not have open access to the candidate database. If you match, you receive a request. Only after you accept that specific advert can the employer receive your candidate presentation and the contact details you have chosen to show.
Support and measures are handled separately
If you have entered support from the Swedish Public Employment Service, you can give separate, explicit consent for the indication that support may be available to be used as a prioritisation signal. The employer does not see the type of support or underlying reason in the matching search. If you later accept, the support you have chosen may be shown discreetly in your CV.
Voluntary and withdrawable
Declining does not affect your candidate account or application documents you have already created. You can withdraw one or both consents at any time in Account by unticking the box and saving. Your profile is then immediately removed from future candidate matching. You can also contact kontakt@cvpilot.se.
Documentation
While the account exists, CVPilot records which consent you gave or withdrew, the time, version number and text shown. This enables CVPilot to demonstrate that your choices have been respected.
How long is the information retained?
Your account, candidate profile, saved applications and consent history are retained while the account exists. When you delete the account yourself, this information is deleted. Some payment and accounting information may need to be retained separately for as long as legislation requires.
More information about the legal basis, recipients, retention and your rights is available in the privacy policy.
